Biltmore House & Winery
America's largest home, the Biltmore House is a four-acre masterpiece with 250 rooms, 65 fireplaces, indoor pool, bowling alley, priceless art, antiques and 8000 acres of backyard to explore. Vineyards on the estate's west side grow several varieties of vinifera grapes while the estate's former dairy complex now houses the winery which produces 75,000 cases of wine each year in about 15 varieties. This winery offers unique wines and gourmet sparkling ciders that are sure to please even the most discriminating taste. All wines are made from Scuppernong and Muscadine grapes that are cultivated and grown along the coast of North Carolina and other southern states. The sparkling ciders are blended from these same grapes and mixed with the juices of both Red Delicious and Winesap apples grown throughout the Appalachian Mountains. All products are made in the traditional Waldensian way with only 100% pure juice and no added sugars or preservatives.
